Do you know how I got this stinkin nickname? I was bugging Justin for like 3 years when we first got married for a "pet name"- it seemed everyone had one... whether they called their spouse babe, or sweetheart, or honey, or like my dad calls my mom- "shorty"... just something that sets me apart from the other people he talked to everyday... and you know- we tried it, we tried hard- but I just could not call him anything affectionate, and neither could he... so, despite my effort, and intent to call him something kind of cute- he ended up J-dog, which is so dorky, but it stuck... even on the football field, and I ended up Mr. Burns... you know- Homer Simpson's boss- the weakest person on the planet- yep, that's me in my loving husbands eyes... oh well- I'll take what I can get!

I love it Brooke! You guys are so cute and I am sooooo happy you started blogging. My cheeks hurt from smiling when I saw you commented on my blog (even if your name is Mr Burns:) ). For some reason it makes you seem not that far away and I can keep up on your cutest family ever! I am so glad you guys are doing well. When we move back to AZ next year I really do want to see you! Until then we will just have to blog it up...
I love that name too, it is very Brooke. Anytime I need a laugh I just watch that cheer video, man the enerfy we had back then! Next time you come up to the valley i want to play!

Brooke, I just found you blog from Shananigan's (Shanon's). Love the nickname "Mr Burns." My dad and brother are Simpson freaks and so I know all about the characters! Mr. Burns doesn't quite seem to fit you...I think Ned Flanders would do the trick!
Killer name Brooke! - Hey Justin, I was just watching the UTEP vs. New Mexico game and heard the name "Jamar Hunt" and thought that had to be your brother. It was. He's an animal. I think the game I was watching was a replay from last year so I'm going to try and watch their game tonight too.
Brooke, if you looking to give Justin a nickname, call him the "Mustard Drinking Fool". My boy just started the 1st grade and I was trying to remember what I did in the 1st grade... one of the few memories I have are of me and Justin sitting in the back row drinking straight from a mustard bottle. Yummy!
